Usage relates to how many drains and faucets you are going to have in your house as well as what you are going to be running down the drains. For example, if you are an artist, you may need to have a lot of water so that you can dye materials, wash brushes, prep materials, and many other things. You will need to think about how much of that kind of thing that you'll be doing, and if it is harmful to your septic tank. The contractor may suggest that you use an alternative waste water system or a separate tank for your studio so you don't overwhelm the tank for the rest of your house with the chemicals that would come out of your art studio. The chemicals that you use in your art may cause some issues with a normal septic tank and could cause a main tank to break down, which would lead to some really pricy repairs.
