Time To Install A Septic System For Your New Home? Why An Aerobic Septic System Is Your Best Option

If you're in the process of building your new home, but the remote location won't allow for municipal sewer service, it's time to plan for a septic system. If you're not sure what type of septic system to choose, talk to your sanitation provider about installing an aerobic septic system. Aerobic septic systems provide benefits that ordinary systems can't. Here are some of the many reasons to have an aerobic septic system installed for your new home.

Protect Against Groundwater Contamination

If you're worried about the impact your new home will have on the environment, one of the best things you can do is invest in an aerobic septic system. You might not realize this, but aerobic septic systems provide protection against groundwater contamination. Traditional septic systems can contaminate the groundwater, especially when the waste isn't processed properly. Aerobic septic systems are different. Aerobic septic systems filter waste through a filtration system that utilizes oxygen to process the waste. As a result, there's no need to worry about groundwater contamination.

Save Room for Backyard Additions

If you have big plans for your backyard, the last thing you want is to have a large septic system taking up valuable space. Standard septic systems require a lot of space for operations. When you have a standard septic system installed, you'll have two tanks, drain lines, and a seepage field in your yard. Aerobic septic system installation is different. The compact design of the aerobic septic system allows you to process your waste while still leaving room for a swimming pool.

Overcome Poor Soil Issues

If you've got poor soil quality on your new home site, you might not be able to utilize a standard septic system. In order for a standard septic system to work, the soil needs to be suitable for proper wastewater absorption. Unfortunately, clay and rocky soils aren't suitable for standard septic system installation, which is where an aerobic septic system comes into play. Because aerobic septic systems don't require a seepage field for wastewater absorption, they're the perfect choice for poor soil conditions.

Put Gray Water to Use

If you have plans for a lawn, trees, and expansive gardens in your new yard, talk to your sanitation contractor about installing an aerobic septic system. Once you have an aerobic septic system installed, you'll never waste gray water again. That's because your aerobic septic tank will recycle all of that wasted water for use throughout your yard.
